Add moon phases to your calendar

Subscribe once and your phone shows every new moon, quarter and full moon, with the full moon's name and the sign the Moon is in, at the right time in your own time zone. About 49 events a year, through 2028.

Choose your calendar

Free, no sign-up and no email. Download the file instead for a one-time import: it will not update itself.

What shows up in your calendar

The next events, in Eastern Time. In your calendar each one sits at its exact moment.

  • First quarter in Capricorn
  • Full moon in Taurus · Hunter's Moon
  • Last quarter in Leo
  • New moon in Scorpio
  • First quarter in Aquarius
  • Full moon in Gemini · Beaver Moon

Full moons carry their traditional names as the Old Farmer's Almanac gives them, the same as on the full moon names page. Phase times come from the same calculation as the moon calendar 2027.

Questions

Does the calendar update itself?

Yes. It is a subscription, not a one-off import: your calendar app checks the file every few days, and each new year is added as it comes. Right now it runs through 2028.

Which time zone are the times in?

Your own. Each phase is stored as an exact moment in UTC, and the calendar app shows it in the time zone your phone or computer is set to, so a full moon at 20:47 UTC appears at 4:47 PM in New York and 1:47 PM in Los Angeles.

Why can I not add it from the Google Calendar app on Android?

The Android app has no option to subscribe by address. Open Google Calendar in a browser once (the button above does that), add the calendar there, and it syncs to the app on your phone.

How do I remove it?

On iPhone: Settings, Calendar, Accounts, Subscribed Calendars, then delete it. In Google Calendar: open Settings, find the calendar under Other calendars and choose Unsubscribe. In Outlook: right-click the calendar and remove it.

Is there a paper version?

Yes, a one-page printable calendar for each year, with the Moon for every day and the phase times. Printable moon calendar 2027 →
